Our trip to Bruges and Brussels took us to Belgium for the first time and to two of the best known cities in the country.
We flew from Girona to Brussels early in the morning so we decided to go directly by train to Bruges to reach one of the most beautiful cities in the world on the first day of our trip.
As we had reserved two nights of accommodation in this city, the idea was to visit it on the first day and the next day go to visit Ghent, another of the best known cities in Flanders. But as soon as we arrived in Bruges and saw the city, we decided that Ghent should wait for another trip, since we wanted to spend as much time as possible to discover the city of canals.
Enjoying the night in the city becomes a "must see." The city changes completely when the tourist groups disappear and you are left practically alone with the city.
After these two days in which we enjoyed one of the most generous cities we have ever met, we went by train to Brussels, where we stayed the last night of our trip.
We visit the best known places in the capital such as Saint Gery Square, the Church of Sta. Caterina and the Black Tower, Beguinage Square, the Metropole Hotel, the Martyrs Square, the Tintin Museum, where we enjoy a visit like if we were children, the Monnaie Muntblein Square, the Saint Hubert Galleries, we go down the well-known Bouchers Street and its well-known Jenneken Pis sculpture until we reach the Grand Place and enjoy the tide that forms around the Manneken Pis…
And how could it be otherwise, throughout this tour of the city, we are enjoying all the works of art that is included in the well-known Comic Route.
