Another great place to eat some fish based dish (specializes in this). If you can ask outdoor terrace tableWell, it's very good. Some recommended dishes are the caserecce with Sicilian pesto (pasta with tomato, basil, pine nuts and cottage cheese), fish fry (about € 10), or spaghetti with clams. It is a site of streetfood, specialized in "cartoccio", a cardboard box full of fried fish. Mmm, it's vice. The best thing is that it only costs € 7 and includes fried squid, prawns, tiny cuttlefish and anchovies. There are also other dishes to taste such as octopus salad (€ 4), fish arancini (€ 4) or sardines (€ 4).

It is a super rustic and authentic corner where they serve Homemade food, rich and simple, Highly recommended if you want to try authentic Catalan cuisine as it is like eating in a private home. Let yourself be recommended by the owners, they have dishes of the day that vary (both antipastos and first and second) For € 9 you have a full menu! Yes, antipasto, first, second, dessert and drink. The only negative point is that it is somewhat away from the historic center, but if you can move ... do not hesitate.

Another great option to eat well and cheaply in Catania. In this trattoria the menu is very extensive although the fresh pasta dishes (If you like gorgonzola cheese there is a pasta with that and pistachio pesto, although there are more “normal” options hehe). Recommended involtini (stuffed veal, stuffed with smoked speck and provokes smoked. They cost € 5).
