What a good meal in Portugal! And the best ... the cuisine of the Portuguese country is, besides being rich, cheap. In Lisbon you will not have difficulties in finding places to gain a few kilos, but if you want any recommendations, here we bring you 8 restaurants to eat in Lisbon well and cheap:

A tiny place, which proposes traditional portuguese dishes, simple but tasty. It has very appetizing grilled fish and meat options (grilled sea bream costs € 9.50 and Portuguese beef steak € 13). If you have bacalhau with cream, do not hesitate! It is one of the richest Portuguese dishes there is. The quality in general is very high and the treatment is good. The bad thing is that it is not central, but if you have time or your accommodation is close it is worth going.

If he chicken (frango) is very tasty, but don't fall into the error of trying just that: cod dishes are essential in Portugal and here they prepare them very well. And the prices are great: recommended fried chicken costs (€ 7.50), picanha with rice, beans and potatoes (€ 9.50) or bacalhau with cream (€ 9). By the way, if you go to noon have a menu for € 7 which includes main course, drink and coffee.

Lisbon stands for fado And if you want to take advantage of dinner while enjoying this typical, sad and sentimental show, going to Tasca do Chico is a good idea. Maybe you don't have the best food in the city, but if you are looking for an experience ... here you will have it. The menu includes small portions and tapas such as wine sausage, cod pancakes, cheese… (€ 2-10) and sandwiches (€ 3-4).

¿When is there fado? Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 p.m. Go ahead if you want to attend the show, it is usually full (it's free!). Anyway, it is always better to call or ask via FB in case the schedules change.

If I eat the Indian and Nepalese food It drives you crazy, this site will make you very happy. The food is great and also good news for vegans! They have a wide range of dishes veg-friendly (The malai kofta costs about € 8 and is one of our favorite dishes). In general, the curries cost about € 8-12, the ideal is to ask for a pair to share (2 people) and some starters (the samosas cost less than € 2). For dessert, ask for a mango lassi (mango smoothie and yogurt) or a chai (a spicy tea): you will love it.

His official name? No idea, we only know that it is a Chinese restaurant ... clandestine. Of course: refrain from posh ... the place is not even local, it is a flat, poorly decorated, shabby and very, very simple. But if you want to live one different experience and try chinese cuisine, but really Chinese, you'll love it.

The ideal here is to try dishes to share. If you dare ask for the tofu with an ancient egg, but if you want something less committed try chicken or pork dishes (€ 5-6) and a plate of vegetables with mushrooms (€ 3.5).

To get there you have to go to Beco Barbadela, enter through the second portal on the right, go up to the second floor and look for a door with a sticker with Chinese characters.

Dulcis in fundo (never better) we recommend you not to miss the opportunity to visit this cake shop, a legend, where you can try the authentic pasteis de belem, the most typical and famous dessert in Portugal. It costs € 1.15 the piece and the ideal is to go there for breakfast or snack (although any time is worth hehe). They also prepare other specialties, but the truth is that here, what you have to do is to fill yourself up with Belem cupcakes (which have been making them for something since 1837!) Be patient, because lines are often formed ...
